The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, with the support of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, has published (https://s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/mod.gov.ua-statics-bucket/Voluntary_report_Mo_D_in_IHL_0fae15454a.pdf) a Voluntary Report on International Humanitarian Law and Ukraine's compliance with it (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Voluntary Report’), which covers all the most important issues in the field of international humanitarian law.
The Voluntary Report was presented to the international community at one of the largest humanitarian platforms, the 34th International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (Geneva, 28-31 October 2024).
The Voluntary Report aims to promote transparency and accountability during the armed conflict caused by Russia's large-scale, unprovoked and illegal armed aggression against Ukraine, and serves as a way of demonstrating to Ukraine's partners the Ukrainian state's compliance with international humanitarian law, as well as the reliability of the use of the weapons and military equipment provided.
