President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with President of Angola João Lourenço.

The Head of State thanked João Lourenço for supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and emphasized that unity and support from Africa are crucial for restoring a just and lasting peace.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is interested in developing bilateral relations with Angola in various areas, including food security, logistics, agricultural development, the creation of grain hubs, and humanitarian demining. Additionally, preparations are underway to appoint Ukraine’s Ambassador to Angola.

João Lourenço accepted the invitation to visit Ukraine to continue the dialogue. The leaders instructed their teams to work on the arrangements for the visit.
